    Fall is here and for many real estate agents, the dreaded fall slowdown is upon us. Fortunately, if you need to generate some new business and find potential buyers, handing out pop-bys is a great way to do it. Below are seven real estate pop-by ideas. Look them over and pick out one that you’re sure your past clients will love. Odds are good that once you hand these out, your phone will be buzzing with activity.

    1. Coffee creamer

    Potential slogan: Thanks a LATTE for your referrals. I’ll make sure your friends and family are in good hands.

    As the weather gets cooler, there’s no better way to relax than with a hot cup of coffee. You can help your clients make their next cup a little more special by bringing them some coffee creamer. (You get bonus points if it’s a fall flavor.) Simply tie your gift tag around the neck of the bottle, decorate it with a little bow, and you are ready to go.

    2. Seasonal pie (of all our fall pop-by ideas, this works best at Thanksgiving)

    A seasonal pie is a great gift idea and wonderful way to show your clients that you appreciate them around the Thanksgiving holiday. You can either bake them yourself if you are someone who enjoys that kind of thing or purchase a large order from a local bakery. Either way, make sure that the ingredients are listed on each pie. You’ll want to be sure to mitigate the risk of someone having an allergy attack.

    3. Scented candle

    Potential slogan: Your referrals BRIGHTEN my day. Call me if you know anyone who is interested in buying or selling a home.

    A scented candle can be another great way to get your clients into the fall spirit. After all, few things are as relaxing as coming home, lighting a candle, and having the whole house smell like your favorite scent. Again, this is one place where you will want to drive home the fall theme. In light of that, make sure you choose a fall scent like pumpkin, apple, or a campfire.

    4. Local honey

    Potential slogan: If you’re thinking about another purchase or sale, give me a buzz, and I’ll get busy.

    Local honey has many benefits, including relieving allergy symptoms and coughs — and this is the season for both. Honey can also boost energy and of course, tastes heavenly. So why not support your local beekeepers and drop off a jar with a note. It’s bound to leave a good taste in your client’s mouth.

    5. Mums (or another fall plant)

    Potential slogan: Referrals help me GROW my business. Let me know if you know anyone who’s interested in buying a new home.

    Mums are a great way to decorate for the fall season. If you drop one of these off at your client’s doorstep, it will undoubtedly be appreciated. However, if you don’t like mums, there are plenty of other options, including pumpkins, gourds, and pansies.

    6. Candy apple kit

    Potential slogan: Real estate transactions should never get STICKY. Call me if you want your next deal to be easy-peasy.
