“My experience with Embrace began in 1990 when I was 8 months out of college. I started in Capital Markets managing our warehouse line as well as selling loans in the secondary market. Things were much smaller back then — the average loan size, the amount of our warehouse line, and the number of people we employed.
Over the years at Embrace, I traveled through Capital Markets, Processing, Underwriting, Closing and Technology. I have been fortunate to work on many projects that were impactful to me and the organization:
- Creating Embrace’s original mission statement
- Approval as an FHA Direct Endorsement lender
- Boarding Mason Dixon Funding
- And most recently, building out our Financial Institutions Group
Each of these projects were challenging and rewarding at the same time. My experiences allowed me to build relationships with a wide array of people both inside and outside Embrace and I am thankful for each of them.
Through all of my roles and projects at Embrace, I am struck by how each evokes a positive memory of someone who worked beside me and their impact on me. Wow — I feel so lucky to learn and grow from all of this.
My husband and I have three children; two of them are in college. Working for a company whose values align with yours makes raising a family and working full-time possible.
Each day I strive to be the positive light for those who work directly with me as well as those I work alongside. While work can be hard, doing it with a smile and a positive outlook makes the hard easier.”
